Your Trip:
The best time of the year for Lake Okeechobee is the months of November through April when seeking a real trophy. The other months will provide lots of action, but normally smaller fish. The winter months are a welcome relief for people from the north, as Florida's weather during the winter is rather balmy (shirt sleeves) for the most part, with an occasional cold front requiring a jacket in the mornings. If fishing live bait, the bait will be at clients expense.
May through October is a better time for artificial lures, though fishing wild shiners can still be very productive.
Special trips for fishing the Everglades can be arranged by calling Bill. At times during the winter, this can be some very exciting action.

The
day will begin with meeting at the marina. Your trip with Capt Bill
Nemec will comfortable and safe. The boat you will fish from is a
19' "Flats Boat" especially designed to navigate shallow water
areas. Bill has a remote controlled, trolling motor, allowing the
clients to fish from the front deck without the guide being in the
way. This auto pilot is a great feature for those fishing artificial
lures. The boat is also equipped with pedestal seats for fishing
with Wild Shiners comfortably for up to three anglers.
